Excerpt from novella #1

  1. The Great Inconvenience –

An evanescent wave appealing to a once known comfort

How quickly it reveals the underbelly of a monster

As if it were pressured, clasping heavily upon my chest

Assuming it’s primitive form, it drifts indefinitely

Revealing itself in a raw, lucid and unmerciful design

Here it began as if it were berthed a millennia ago

Anchored deep in the refuge of my psyche

I have tried to find it in a time of need

Only to (have it) manifest in a time of great inconvenience

I hardly look anymore

My innermost self

My inability to heed the warning

The possibility of freedom

The torment of regret

Forever inhabited

Painstakingly present
